Scottish Pictures  Hopetoun House  Sale Results

Head of Scottish Pictures at Sotheby's, André Zlattinger, said, 'This was the best Hopetoun House sale ever and the results demonstrate that the market for Scottish Pictures is particularly strong right now.  20th century Scottish paintings performed extremely well, as was seen by the records set for Vettriano and Redpath.  The high prices achieved for the Colourist works provided further highlights in the sale, notably the Peploe (lot 106) and the Cadell (lot109).'
